New laws in Connecticut went into effect this July 1st and include a new law regarding diapers. “Feminine Hygiene Products, Baby Diapers Exempt from Sales Tax: Feminine hygiene products long fell under the category of “luxury goods” and were taxed accordingly. Beginning July 1, tampons and pads, along with baby diapers, will no longer have a sales tax tacked on.” State senator Cathy Abercrombie relayed in her news letter eblast dated 7/6/2018.
We all can agree that this is a step in a positive direction for insuring woman and children benefit from our State’s tax laws. In understanding this new tax law, Better In Bundles Diaper Service will no longer charge sales tax to its customers.
Better in Bundles Diaper Service was founded in 2017 to provide parents and guardians with a home delivery service of cloth diapers to Connecticut Families. Expectant and current parents can utilize this service to receive weekly home delivery of freshly washed cotton diapers. Once started, soiled diapers will be exchanged for clean ones each week. Along with cloth diapers we also supplies cloth wipes.
